Welcome to The Cancer Sucks Classic
Presented by Sully Carter & Franklin Johnson.
WHO ARE WE?
The Cancer Sucks Classic is a youth basketball tournament in Auburn, WA. This event is dedicated to cancer research and helping families, with 100 percent of the net profits donated to the world renowned Fred Hutch Cancer Institute. Through 501c3 Kids Always Matter & Fred Hutch, all registrations, admission, and donations are tax deductible.
In February of 2023, Sullivan’s dad, Cris Carter, was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 4 Prostate cancer. Since, Cris has battled and continues to battle every day. His original diagnosis showed only 4 months if lucky. Through the help and work of the amazing team at Fred Hutch, Cris is still with us today. While the cancer will never go away for Cris, our goal is to help fund the research that will save the next generation of cancer victims. With this, we hope to shed a light on the importance of getting tested early and frequently.
The event will be a 3+ pool play to bracket play tournament, located in Auburn, WA on August 8th/9th. Champions will take home an exclusive CSC T Shirt.
